@nemesis2000 Could you possibly help me with doing widescreen patches for the Arcade History games (Tekken 1,2,3) in Tekken 5?

this 2 lines is from your patch

In this case, i suggest to remove them Smile  
I checked my old patch and found out that these lines were needed as part of the widescreen for the world map, but it looks like they are not needed in your patch and only cause issues.
This is what the game looks like without these lines with my old patch and your with the changes from the previous post.

if I uncomment them, then the character starts to be visible through some objects (such as the forest) and the fog looks different.

I do not know if you knew this, but your patch to this game solves one of my first problems (Post #7.399). I do not know how to search for these codes and i am glad that i happened to find a different code that is also (only one) part of a 16:9 format (patch=1,EE,30491678,word,3F400000 // 3F800000). Anyways, thanks for this gift. Now the whole widescreen works flawlessly! Laugh

And nothing to start from?
Because all that I have found is value for vert aspect for floor and characters. Other values calculated from matrix multiplication and what works for screenshots dont work for intro and gameplay when camera moves

Can you share your findings?
I believe there is a static value for backgrounds. It was an address setting it's value to 0EE9.

Hello,
I noticed some issues with the Wild ARMs - Alter Code F patch. On the world map, some elements are still displayed in 4x3 format.
I managed to fix it by commenting out these lines in the patch, but it's likely that I broke something else and just don't see it, because I only checked the first couple of hours of the game.
Could you please take a look?

I want to thank you very much for making the widescreen patches for Pro Race Driver, R: Racing Evolution, and Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you for making this happen. Now I get to revisit the classics in proper 16:9 widescreen. Smile

There is one catch however, I used PS2 Patch Engine to patch the widescreen codes onto the three games, but it doesn't work for Pro Race Driver, due to unsupported cheat types, so there is no way to play this game in 16:9 widescreen via physical hardware (PS2). Fortunately, I was able to get R: Racing Evolution & Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge in 16:9 widescreen and I couldn't be more pleased to see both games in proper widescreen on my PS2.

I'd also appreciate if you could do the PAL version of R Racing Evolution in widescreen anytime. And with that, thank you once again for your hard work!

For Pro Race Driver, you can use only the first line from the patch
patch=1,EE,0014dc08,word,3c013f40
but in this case, the game menu will look ugly. 
Or you can use
patch=1,EE,0014dc08,word,3c013f40
patch=1,EE,001c4e5c,word,3c013ec0
to get vert- widescreen and fix menu,but it will also affect the gameplay.
both options should work with a real ps2
