Looks like it's just a typo in the patch.

Thank you so much. Can i ask you something? How did you manage to understand it was a typo, i don't know anything about this stuff. What software are you using to find the right codes? I tried using Cheat Engine but i can't even make it scan.Â

Because the WSpatch included in cheats_ws.zip was out of date, I searched this thread once for BFB0DFBE but got no results and assumed the modified code did not exist.

Try this by opening the file "SLPM_656.31" on the disc with the "Elf Search Tool".

Hype The Time Quest (SLES-50264) (this is the PAL France version, but i could convert any PAL version i guess)
I've registered only to ask for help on this.
Some other guy already asked here in 2020, amongst other games,
but he got ignored, that's how i found this thread.
This is really a gem of a game and not that much people know about it, this is definitely one of my favorites on PS2.
Would LOVE a widescreen patch. Someone made a patch for the PC version and it looks gorgeous, but i'd much rather play the PS2 version.
