Since I'm currently on it: I thought I might share some pictures of the inside of a PANHAI controller:

The most easy indicator is the blue battery pack; the genuine one has a grey, more solid looking one if I recall correctly. Also, if you compare the pressure sensitive buttons you can clearly feel that the genuine one feels much "softer" with equal resistance in pressure as you push them. These cheapos are really built to a price. And they don't obey Bluetooth standards Wacko Speaking of Bluetooth, here's a picture of the chip used in mine:

It's a BEKEN BK3513, I couldn't find an exact data sheet but the one I linked is pretty close.

Was the poping sound when connecting the DS3 made by you? If so then please get rid of it pretty damn annoying. Thank you. Also the sound when logging to the user account or am I hearing things?

How is it annoying by any means unless you have a big home theater setup on full blast constantly? It plays a sound at startup and a sound upon connect/disconnect. Unless you sit in a chair and constantly connect/disconnect the controllers with obnoxiously loud volumes, its anything but annoying and I think it should be kept enabled by default and those very few that are disturbed can disable it. I actually do have a AVR with tower speakers and sub, the noise is only as loud as you set it and it only makes it as often as you want the noise to be made lol

Annoying as windows has already it's own "connected device" sound - hearing two different sounds at the same time for the same purpose is just plain annoying. Not mentioning that the default windows sound is way more subtle and actually doesn't sound like someone popping a balloon over my head. But it's not nearly as bad as the "keygen" sound on the windows logon - just why? A terrible choice because of which I ended up scanning my system with various anti malware software.

And that's why I won't be using this fork anytime soon. Who knows what else will be implemented to it. How about making a program that does just what it's supposed to do and not scare the ***** out of me.

Seriously? This is your greatest complaint? To manually have to untick one checkbox? You know, I even gave you the ability to change the sounds if they are too obnoxious for your tastes. As I said, the sounds are a fan request I implemented and not my insanely dark humor giggling in the corner while thinking of all the confused souls out there hunting down weird ghost sounds coming from their computing apparatus. The sounds are randomly picked from a site offering royalty-free sound samples since I didn't want to upset anybody with copyright infringements.

Besides your worries what else might be implemented without anybody's knowledge; I publish a change-log with all my releases, you know. So people can decide and/or discuss the changes before they update.

That's my only complaint and just my opinion. Maintaining a project means also rejecting stupid fan requests. Yea I'm mad because I've been investigating what may be causing this logon sound and seriously that was the last program I checked becasue the sound in it has no purpose whatsoever

Since the positive over-shines the negative feedback I'll leave it in. End of discussion. Of course I value every input and opinion since that what drives the community but this case drifts a bit too far into the realms of ridiculousness.
Can someone tell me how i can fully disconnect the controller from windows?

Even when turning it off windows 7 still has it as an active controller, and i want to use my regular 360 as a primary controller.

and unplugging my bluetooth dongle doesn't do anything either.

For $13 on Amazon, these are exactly what you pay for. If Nefarious can get these to work via BT, the value of my Panhai's will increase tenfold, to me at least. Keep up the good fight!
Thanks so much Nefarius for this maintaining wonderful project Biggrin Biggrin Biggrin

I have recently bought a DS3 from the net and found that it's a fake DS3 Sad
Anyway, it works fine with both bluetooth and USB on SCP without problem, so I don't mind about the counterfeit part.

However, I justust have one single problem on the bluetooth connection.
My "fake" DS3 disconnects its bluetooth connection every 30 seconds after connected.
There was no problem during that "30 seconds" except the part I am required to press the PS button to turn it back on after 30 seconds.

Is this problem common for "fake" DS3? or it's solvable?

Lastly, big big thanks to Nefarius again for this wonderful tool unlike MIJ  Tongue Tongue Tongue
